Kenmore History

An eating establishment with an evocative name, the Cat’s Whiskers Café at 61st Avenue NE, welcomed customers with an open doorway, porch seating, and a serving of beans for 30 cents. The “open for business” sign apparently refers to the café’s move from the south side of Bothell Way to the north side in the 1930s.
