Kenmore History

This anonymous housewife hangs out her weekly wash conveniently near washtubs and a clothes-wringer outside her home on NE 166th Street. In the late 1930s, the Moorlands remained undeveloped and rural. Resident Adaline Good recalls the necessity of dealing with water supply, poor roads, access to schools, and family illnesses that brought neighbors together.
